Nancy - The lady

It was a very pleasant morning(just 21 C) when I reached airport at 4 o'clock. The flight was from Hyderabad to Jaipur with an half hour halt in Ahmedabad. I was waiting at the airport unaware of the things that are going to happen after sometime.

I boarded the flight on time. The things started happening as soon as I boarded this flight.  It was Nancy, the senior flight hostess who was talking on phone to someone and she didn't even welcome passengers and not just me :)

I was sitting at my seat 4C. I forgot the first incident but then the time came to land in Ahmedabad. My seat was upright and I was sleeping. Now here comes the lady and she woke me up and told me to put the seat upright. I was very annoyed and so do my fellow passengers.

I also noticed that her voice was unclear when she was making announcements in Hindi. Anyway that was fine but the uncle sitting next to me was angry that she cannot even speak Hindi and she is a senior flight air hostess.

I decided to provide the feedback about her and asked Ujjwal, the other air host to give me the feedback form. I mentioned all the details and handed over it to him assuming that it will be heard. When I was getting down, Ujjwal also told me that he will send the feedback to Delhi and wont tell it to Nancy otherwise she will tear it off. I have also provided the feedback on the Spicejet website. Hope some action will be taken against her.

I can walk

Finally Monday came and the doctor removed my dressing fully. It’s just Wowwww that I can walk on my own.

Last 2 weeks were very pathetic when I was unable to walk at all. It was hard to do even normal things in my life. I cannot forget how I used to climb up stairs. It was very irritating when a small child called me "Langda".

I was not able to enjoy my new year as well. I am very fond of going out but for past few days I didn't even go anywhere except hospital :( It is so ironical that I was just home and killing my valuable time.

I am lucky to have great friends and family who helped me in this time. It was their wishes that I am fine now and can walk on my own.

I am very very happy today. Thanks to everyone for their wishes. Yeah I can walk :)

First Encounter with Operation Theater

It was a normal Thursday evening when I was returning from office to my home. On the way, I thought of doing some grocery shopping, so I went to Trinethra and bought some items. All was fine till I took a turn from the Apollo towards Road No.12, Banjara Hills.

I was trying to take a turn and suddenly a vehicle hit me from right side. I didn’t realize that I have severely hurt my leg and left for my home. By the time I reached home, I was feeling very dizzy and my leg was bleeding a lot. I called my friend Deobrat (my room-mate) to rush home immediately. But it was getting worse as the time was progressing. He was in office and as it took a while for him to reach home, so he informed my landlord. Then it was my landlord who took me to the Apollo Hospital (Near to the same place where I had my accident:)). I was waiting for the doctor and meanwhile Deobrat also reached the emergency ward.

After doing normal dressing they took me for the X-Ray in a wheel chair. I never sat in a wheel chair. On one end, I was worried about my fracture and on the other end I was laughing on being seated in the wheel chair:). Finally I had my life’s first X-Ray done. Thankfully, it was just a wound and there was no fracture.

The doctor did the dressing again and advised me not to walk for few days. I was very scared when he told me to visit a plastic surgeon next day for the actual diagnosis. We reached home and I slept waiting for the next day to come.

Next morning, I went to Apollo again to meet the plastic surgeon. The doctor saw the wound and advised me to go for suturing. After thinking a lot, I decided to go for that. He advised to go for a screening test before the operation. I am scared of blood tests but it went fine. Then attendant took me outside the operation theater.

I never had any operation done in my life. I was sitting on the wheel chair and was very scared. Attendant told me to remove all the metal items and gave me a dress for the operation. Then he took me through multiple doors and doctor told the attendant to take me to OT Number 3. After few minutes I was in the operation theater.

He put a bed-sheet on the table and told me to lie down there. I was seeing the different instruments, lights and wondering what is going to happen now. The doctor came after sometime and gave me a local anesthesia. It was paining like hell. They put different sort of instruments around my body and there was a monitor which was showing some readings of my body.

After a while, the main doctor came and started cleaning my leg. He was asking lot of questions about my past medical history. He was doing some things on my leg using some very pointed instruments. He did a very long dressing till my knee. It took almost 45 minutes to complete the whole surgery. At the end, he told me I have done the plastic surgery and we need to put you under observation for half hour.

I was shifted to the recovery room and again they put some instruments. There was a monitor above my head and it was showing lots of graphs, readings, etc. After sometime my friend came over and he was very happy to see me. I was waiting and waiting and waiting for the time to pass by so that I can go home. Finally nurse gave me a clean chit and I was discharged from the hospital.

This was the outcome after the 7 hours stay in Apollo:(

It was a bad day in my life when I saw the operation theater. I just wish I don’t have to visit the same place again.
